Sarah Lazarovic does a lot. In addition to her illustration work, which has appeared in every major news publication in Canada, she’s made a movie (No Heart Feelings, 2010), founded the website Torontoist, and acted as the artist-in-residence at the Banff Centre in Alberta. Currently, she runs Toronto chapter of the Action Design Network, which promotes the use of behavioural economics and psychology in product design. She’s currently the creative director for Pilot PMR, a creative agency in Toronto.
Sarah is also notable for what she hasn’t done: in 2013, she spent a year (mostly) not buying things, a feat she chronicled in her 2014 book A Bunch of Pretty Things I Did Not Buy. (At time of writing, the last thing she bought was a pair of shoes.)
